Abstract Acute lung injury (ALI) has multiple causes and can easily progress to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) if not properly treated. Nuclear factor κB (NF-κB) is a key pathway in the treatment of ALI/ARDS. By exploring relevance NF-κB pathogenesis this disease, it was found that disease mainly associated with inflammation, dysfunction endothelial barrier, oxidative stress, impaired clearance alveolar fluid, coagulation disorders. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) characteristics multitargeting, multipathway effects, high safety, which directly or indirectly affect This article summarizes mechanism strategies TCM recent years through intervention NF-κB-related signaling pathways for treating It provides an overview from perspectives herbal monomers, couplet medicines, injections, compounds, preparations, offering insights into prevention ALI/ARDS TCM.
