During the process of coal spontaneous combustion (CSC), a plethora combustible gases alongside inert gases, such as CO2, are copiously generated. However, prior investigations have regrettably overlooked pivotal influence gas production on propensity for methane explosions during CSC. To investigate impact flue environment generated by CSC, containing both and risk explosion, high-temperature programmed heating test system CSC was employed to analyze generation pattern gas. It found that CO, CH4 were continuously in large quantities which main components The effect concentration component ratio (CCO2/CCO) explosion limit tested. led decrease limit, range facilitated at 0 < CCO2/CCO 0.543 suppressed > 0.543.
