Horses and donkeys differ phenotypically karyotypically, although they can interbreed freely. Eight Standardbred mares nine Amiata donkey jennies were included in the study. Semen was collected from two horses stallions of proven fertility. A first pregnancy diagnosis performed on day 10 after ovulation repeated every until embryo detection or 16. Irrespectively sire species, rates horse females (20/30, 66.7%) significantly higher than (19/70, 27.1%) (p < 0.05), while males did not affect rates. Comparing overall intraspecific interspecific AI, 25/37 (67.6%) 14/63 (22.2%), respectively = 0.0001). The lowest rate obtained when inseminating with stallion semen (8/49, 16.3%). No statistical differences found comparing diameters, at diagnosis, vitro morphological quality among groups. In this study, much poorer results mares. Interspecific AI resulted lower Al, to produce hinny hybrids rate. Further studies are required better understand mechanism involved such different outcomes relation intra- breeding domestic equids.

This study investigated the effect of adding seminal plasma to frozen-thawed semen on quality sperm and pregnancy following insemination in dromedary camels. In experiment 1, from 9 collections (3 bulls) was further diluted with either base extender or homologous (HSP). In second experiment, a pooled sample another three bulls. Live percentage, total progressive motility, functional acrosome integrity, kinematics were evaluated at 15, 60, 120 minutes post-thawing compared non-treated control. 3, frozen used inseminate camels experimental groups: 1-Single double dose undiluted (n = 9); 2-Re-insemination 6 hours 13); 3-Single HSP treated 14).Frozen-thawed non-homologous Bull C indicated an improvement all parameters after 1 hour incubation (p<0.05). The proportion progressively motile did not drop significantly 60 when (p>0.05). Double nontreated single HSP-treated resulted similar rates (15.3% vs 21.4%, p>0.05). None conceived double-dose sperm.Seminal improves longevity motility thawing camel significant between-bull variation effect. Low post-thaw might be cause behind low camels.
