Triclosan (TCS) and triclocarban (TCC) are antimicrobial agents that have been used in personal care consumer products the past decades. In this study, influent, effluent, sludge samples collected selected wastewater treatment plants across Durban metropolis were qualitatively quantitatively investigated. It was revealed concentration of TCS ranged from 1.906 to 73.462 µg/L, 1.732 6.980 0.138 2.455 µg/kg samples, respectively. The concentrations TCC found be between 0.320 45.261
