Despite the wide applications in clothing, furniture, and transportation, well-known "scaffolding effect" polyester-cotton fabric has caused significant fire hazards compared to sole polyester or cotton fabrics. Therefore, it is of practical significance endow with excellent safety. In this work, an organic-inorganic composite coating comprising nitrogen-phosphorus-silicon-containing flame retardant silver nanoparticle-loaded halloysite nanotubes (Ag@HNTs) was designed prepared improve safety Microscale combustion colorimeter results indicated that peak heat release rate modified such a reduced by 47%. Meanwhile, could self-extinguish 9 s after being ignited, limiting oxygen index up 25%, indicating addition, total smoke coated 21%, illustrating Ag@HNTs eliminate generated. The treated also exhibited superior water resistance. Flame mechanisms were well investigated using thermogravimetric analysis-infrared spectrometry analysis chemiluminescence studying gaseous degradation products hydroxyl radical gas phase. This work provides effective approach fabricating high-performance smoke-suppressive coatings for textiles.

Uranium is a key element in the preparation of nuclear fuel. An electrochemical uranium extraction technique proposed to achieve high efficiency performance through HER catalyst. However, it still challenge design and develop high-performance hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalyst for rapid recovery from seawater. Herein, bi-functional Co, Al modified 1T-MoS2 /reduced graphene oxide (CA-1T-MoS2 /rGO) catalyst, showing good with overpotential 466 mV at 10 mA cm-2 simulated seawater, first developed. Benefiting CA-1T-MoS2 /rGO, efficient achieved capacity 1990 mg g-1 seawater without post-treatment, exhibiting reusability. The results experiments density functional theory (DFT) show that capability attributed synergy effect improved strong adsorption between U OH*.
