The investigation of chemical speciation primary toxic metal(loid)s (Cd, Pb, and As) in soil profile nonferrous metal smelting site is a key to the assessment their mobility characteristics formulation subsequent remediation strategy. In this study, 74 samples were collected at 12 different profiles; physio-chemical properties total content Cd, Pb As corresponding also determined. results showed that mean concentration followed order > Cd. A large proportion Cd accumulated upper profiles (depth < 3 m). Heavy pollution observed whole area fuel oil storage tank (ZY6) lead (ZY8). dominant fraction was exchangeable (F1); Fe/Mn oxides-bound (F3) most cases; Crystallized Fe/Al hydrous oxides bound (F4) generally accounted for As. Mobility factor (MF) indicating mobile element profiles. Pearson correlation analysis found MFCd significantly positively correlated silt; F4 percentage redox potential (Eh). Additionally, MFCd/Pb be crystalline iron (Fec), while negatively amorphous (Feo). findings reported on basis distribution could provide new solution future site. Long-term solutions might offered by microbial-assisted washing technique promotes transformation organic/sulfide-bound fraction.
