To remove trace cisplatin from aqueous solution, commercial sponges were functionalized by esterification with 3-mercaptopropionic acid, followed reduction Na2S·9H2O or SnCl2·2H2O. While Langmuir isotherm model generally described monolayer behavior aggregation onto at 343 K introduced surface heterogeneity, rendering Freundlich a better fit isotherm. Differential pH dependence evaluation mean free energy, derived Dubinin-Radushkevich indicated that involved physisorption, including electrostatic attraction, while chemisorption predominated TFS_2. Increasing temperature notably promoted facilitating thermal-favored formation bonds. This research aims address environmental implications emerging pollutant, found in amounts hospital wastewater.
