Mariculture is currently experiencing rapid growth in response to the rising global food demand, while simultaneously posing significant challenges environmental issues, such as pollution stress and ecological degradation. To achieve a balance between ecosystem maintenance seafood supply, marine ranching has flourished sustainable approach through implementation of artificial reef construction, stock enhancement, strategic releasing. However, few studies have evaluated impacts comparison situ survey data across geographical areas. Phytoplankton are vital organisms ecosystems that function essential indicators seawater quality biological diversity, reflecting health sustainability. In this study, we investigated species community structure, co-occurrence network phytoplankton based on 175 samples collected from 75 sites encompassing all 26 areas, along with their corresponding surrounding areas Yantai’s coastal sea. A total 112 were identified three phyla diatoms, dinoflagellates, chrysophytes; among them, diatoms dominated notably high proportion 98.83%. Their diversity structure exhibited variations different seasons geographic locations. Moreover, no preference was observed Nevertheless, analysis demonstrated lower values for average degree, clustering coefficient, path length ranching, indicating aquaculture activities reduced connectivity potential interactions. Additionally, it showed stability indicated by remaining nodes natural indices, regardless removed. These findings illustrate processes can mitigate losses maintaining they still alter association reduce overall stability. This research recommends scientifically informed expansion necessitates robust monitoring datasets systematic validation ensure holistic

In 2018, China implemented the Veterinary Antimicrobial Use Reduction Action to curb rapid development of antibiotic resistance (AR). However, AR-related pollutions in animal farms after reduction policy has been poorly investigated. Here, we performed a comprehensive investigation combining UPLC-MS/MS, metagenomic, and bacterial genomic analyses eight representative large-scale chicken Guangdong, China. Our results showed that antibiotics ARGs contaminations were more severe broiler than layer farms. Notably, diverse tet(X) variants prevalent These tet(X)s was carried by E. coli lineages obviously correlated with ISCR2 IS1B transposases. The resistomes significantly microbial community, multiple factor indicated joint effect antibiotics-microbial community-MGEs most dominant driver ARGs. Host tracking identified variety ARG hosts co-occurrence ARGs-MRGs-MGEs. Source inherent component represented main feature different hosts, while transfer between gut farm environments frequent. A multiperspective evaluation AR risk revealed early exhibited mitigation maximum level risky ARGs, prevalence environmental pathogens, HGT potential mediated phage structures. Overall, our findings provide insights into profiles rearing strategies demonstrate preliminary view performance actions

Antibiotics in aquaculture pose significant environmental risks due to their widespread distribution water, impacting ecosystem health. To address this hot issue, an ozone-assisted hydrodynamic cavitation (OAHC) system was developed for the efficient treatment of seawater contaminated with antibiotics. The demonstrated remarkable efficiency, achieving complete degradation eight antibiotics within a reaction time 20 s. At same time, water quality parameters, such as dissolved oxygen (increased from 9.79 mg/L 13.19 mg/L) and nitrite nitrogen (reduced 0.14 0.01 mg/L), significantly improved post-treatment. OAHC-based minimized harmful by-products, ensuring compliance Chinese standards. As supplementary study, laboratory-based simulated experiment conducted FLO target antibiotic. investigation kinetics mechanisms indicated that •OH plays predominant role system. global regulations tighten on antibiotic discharge, technology is poised become cornerstone next-generation solutions. Future research should prioritize field-scale validation real-time monitoring accelerate industrial adoption.
