Macrolide pollution has attracted a great deal of attention because its ecotoxic effects on microalgae, but the role phycospheric bacteria under antibiotic stress remains unclear. This study explored toxic erythromycin (ERY) growth and nitrogen metabolism Auxenochlorella pyrenoidosa; then, it analyzed predicted composition ecological function microalgae ERY stress. We found that 0.1, 1.0, 10 mg/L inhibited chlorophyll gradually showed enhanced abilities over course 21 days. As exposure time progressed, nitrate reductase activities increased, remained significantly lower than control group at d. NO3− concentrations in all treatment groups decreased were consistent with growth. NO2− three those during changed community diversity bacteria. The relative abundance bacteria, such as unclassified-f-Rhizobiaceae, Mesorhizobium, Sphingopyxis, Aquimonas, Blastomonas, varied to different degrees. Metabolic functions, ABC transporters, microbial diverse environments, biosynthesis amino acids, upregulated treatments higher (1.0 mg/L). Higher denitrification, nitrous oxide nitrite respiration. findings this suggest alleviate restore by regulating system.

Environmental factors and anthropogenic activity are key that shape the distribution of bacteria antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in natural environments. However, few studies have focused on occurrence ARGs remote pristine In this study, two typical rivers western Qinghai Lake basin was investigated. Results showed cold-resistant Planomicrobium sp. predominant genus due to low temperature, followed by unclassified_f_Planococcaceae. High nitrogen nutrients increased abundance diversity community denitrification dominant means bacterial nitrate reduction. Tetracycline including tetA, tetB, tetC were basin, ranging from 2.30 × 103 1.91 108 copies/L, while abundances intI1, such as sul1 indicated basin. Finally, strong positive correlation between intI1 highlights potential transmission risk through cross- or co-selection horizontal gene transfer. Our study emphasized adaptation environment facilitation propagation

Since the first artificial plastic was introduced, worldwide production and consumption of have been continuously increasing. However, improper treatment has made a large amount waste plastics flow into environment. These cannot be decomposed in natural environment but can divided small pieces, i.e., microplastics (MPs), under long-term physical, chemical, or biological effects; thus, bringing severe dangers for ecological human health. Effective MP pollution is quite urgent. current research on MPs still focuses enrichment blocking neglects to address from perspectives policy regulation, source substitution, recycling. Here, we comprehensively overviewed solutions pollution, including reduction usage plastics, development substitutable such as biobased long-life/durable recycling well remediation strategies existing We hope that more novel technologies will developed successfully combat safeguard planet's health ecosystem.

The Plastisphere is a novel niche whereby microbial communities attach to plastic debris, including microplastics. These can be distinct from those found in the surrounding environment or attached natural substrates and may serve as reservoir of both pathogenic antimicrobial-resistant (AMR) bacteria. Owing frequent omission appropriate comparator particles (e.g. substrates) previous studies, there lack empirical evidence supporting unique risks posed by microplastics terms enrichment spread AMR pathogens. This study investigated selective colonization sewage community on environmentally sampled with three different polymers, sources morphologies, alongside substrate (wood), inert (glass) free-living/planktonic controls. Culture molecular methods (quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR)) were used ascertain phenotypic genotypic prevalence, respectively, multiplex colony PCR was identify extra-intestinal
