Anaerobic digestion (AD) performance and microbial dynamics were investigated in a high-solid anaerobic (HSAD) system of the organic fraction municipal solid waste (OFMSW). 1, 5, 10, 15% (w/w, dry weight OFMSW) granular activated carbon (GAC) zerovalent iron (ZVI) added to HSAD system. The results showed that adding ZVI GAC can improve methane yield OFMSW. Notably, R-(GAC + ZVI) exhibited highest cumulative 343.0 mL/gVS, which was 57.1% higher than R-control. At genus level, dominant bacteria included norank_f__norank_o__MBA03, norank_f__norank_o__norank_c__norank_p__Firmicutes, Fastidiosipila, norank_f__Rikenellaceae, Sphaerochaeta, while Methanoculleus, Methanobacterium, Methanosarcina archaea. relative abundance norank_f__norank_o__norank_c__norank_p__Firmicutes 30.8% for ZVI), 71.4% Methanoculleus Methanobacterium R-control group accounted 79.0 90.8% total archaeal abundance, respectively. Additionally, 10.6% (1.1%). After addition ZVI, electron transfer capacity enhanced, resulting promoted production. Thus, simultaneous be an effective strategy promote

ABSTRACT Although poly(L‐lactic acid) (PLLA) is biocompatible and degradable, its inherent brittleness, susceptibility to aging, low ultraviolet light (UV) resistance, moderate gas barrier properties limit diverse applications. In this study, graphene oxide (GO) was used as an initiator, unsaturated poly (butylene itaconate) (PBI) a flexible chain segment, GO‐grafted P(LA‐ g ‐BI) (GO‐ ‐PLBI) copolymer synthesized by in situ melt polycondensation of lactic acid. Nuclear magnetic resonance, Fourier transform infrared, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy results confirmed the successful synthesis GO‐g‐PLBI formation multi‐branched structure. The GO‐ ‐PLBI film demonstrated excellent ductility oxygen properties, with elongation at break increased 73.8 times compared PLLA, while permeability (OP) decreased 40.3%. incorporation PBI facilitated micro‐crosslinking within copolymer, thereby enhancing thermal stability. More gg gt conformations were formed crystallization induced aging inhibited, thus showing anti‐aging properties. Interestingly, OP value micro‐crosslinked 60.9% after physical demonstrating extremely high This study offers viable approach developing PLLA/graphene nanocomposites that exhibit adjustable flexibility, enhanced barrier, heat UV transparency.

Abstract The anaerobic digestion of aqueous condensate from fast pyrolysis is a promising technology for enhancing carbon and energy recovery waste. Syngas, another product, could be integrated as co-substrate to improve process efficiency. However, limited knowledge exists on the co-fermentation syngas by cultures effects substrate toxicity. This work investigates ability mesophilic thermophilic mixed co-ferment either sewage sludge or polyethylene plastics in semi-batch bottle fermentations.
