Petroleum
hydrocarbon
contamination

a
significant
global
environmental
issue,
severely
impacting
soil
microbial
communities
and
their
functions.
This
study
employed
high-throughput
sequencing
to
systematically
analyze
the
bacterial
community
structure
functional
genes
in
soils
with
varying
levels
of
petroleum
contamination.
The
results
demonstrated
that

decline
diversity,
while
enhancing
abundance
specific
genes,

those
involved
polycyclic
aromatic
(PAH)
degradation,
methane
production,
denitrification.
Phylogenetic
analysis
further
revealed
highly
contaminated
tended

clustered
specialized
groups,
