However, operating WWTPs is complex due physical, chemical, and biological involved, they often face issues like nonlinearity, unpredictability, disruptions, which can impair control performance cause instability. Objective: To address these challenges, a fuzzy-based sliding-mode controller (FSMC) proposed improve stability. Methods: suppress disturbances uncertainties on controlling WWTP, fuzzy logic incorporated with SMC. The FSMC parameters are optimally tuned by means of JAYA optimization Algorithm depending tracking error structure complexities. reduce disruptions unpredictability bioreactor, eases computational burdens updating parameter values, enhances while minimizing chattering through technique. Results: analysis done comparing method standard approaches. investigation conducted WWTP five pH reactors, underflow, overflow, influent conditions. Error shows that has achieved RMSE 0.23641, better than existing MAHPFSMC, WFSMC, GFSMC, SSFSMC, IBFSMC, IMBFSMC, OFSMC, WO, SOSMC methods.
