Abstract Bisphenol A (BPA) is a widely used chemical that slowly being phased out due to its toxic properties. The industry therefore looking for alternatives in the form of BPA analogs. However, studies have shown analogs can comparable or even stronger endocrine and effects than BPA. This review describes various mechanisms interactions with individual nuclear receptors. They interfere downstream signaling pathways not only by binding receptors, but also alternative mechanisms, such as altering receptor expression, affecting co-receptors, signal transduction pathways, epigenetic changes. Further are needed fully investigate potential synergistic additive may result. In search less harmful BPA, affinity be decisive factor. We recommend different study approach assess their on system before new introduced market protect public health environment.
