The interaction between microplastics (MPs) and pollutants is crucial for assessing the environmental risk of MPs. It necessary to pay attention adsorption/desorption behavior antibiotics on MPs due their potential role in antibiotic resistance. When MPs-loaded are ingested by organisms, they enter gastrointestinal tract undergo desorption, leading corresponding toxic effects. Existing literature primarily focuses adsorption behavior, while there a lack systematic generalizations desorption or combined effects organisms. Therefore, this article provides review mechanisms, biological tract. Desorption suggests that characteristics (aging hydrophobicity) components fluid (digestive enzyme species pH) can also have effect desorption. Moreover, summarizes induced MPs-antibiotics, demonstrating either enhance reduce plants, microorganisms, aquatic animals. Since methodological uniformity relevance natural environment main shortcomings existing literature, future research should focus actual water given region studying at gene, protein, metabolic levels. This direction expected provide valuable references insights evaluating antibiotics.

While substantial amounts of antibiotics and pesticides are applied to maintain orchard yields, their influence on the dissemination risk antibiotic resisitome in food chain remains poorly understood. In this study, we characterized bacterial fungal communities differentiated both resistance genes (ARGs) virulence factor (VFGs) soil, Chinese bayberry (matured fallen), fruit fly gut, collected from five geographic locations. Our results showed that guts soils exhibit a higher abundance ARGs VFGs compared with fruits. We identified 112 shared 75 VFGs, aminoglycoside adherence being among most abundant. The co-occurrence network revealed some microbes, such as

Phages are critical components of the gut microbiome, influencing bacterial composition and function as predators, parasites, modulators phenotypes. Prophages, integrated forms these phages, prevalent in many genomes play a role adaptation evolution. However, diversity stability prophages within commensals, particularly genera Bacteroides Phocaeicola, remain underexplored. This study aims to screen characterize genera, providing insights into their diversity, host range, temporal dynamics human gut. Using combination three bioinformatic tools—Cenote-Taker 3, Vibrant, PHASTER—we conducted comprehensive analysis Phocaeicola. Cenote-Taker 3 identified most diverse set prophages, with significant overlaps observed between tools. After clustering high-quality we 22 unique viral operational taxonomic units (vOTUs). Notably, comparisons isolated genomes, metaviromes, large public virome databases revealed broader range than initially single isolates. Certain were consistent across time points individuals, suggesting stability. All belonged Caudoviricetes class contained genes related antibiotic resistance, toxin production, metabolic processes. The combined use multiple prophage detection tools allowed for more assessment not only but also exhibited broad ranges presence resistance suggests that may significantly influence community structure gut, potential implications health. These findings highlight importance using accurately assess dynamics.
