Uranium contamination in water and soil poses serious risks to human health ecosystems. Adsorption is a promising method for uranium removal due its efficiency simplicity. This review highlights recent advancements (VI) adsorption using Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), Covalent Organic (COFs), Graphene Oxide (GO), MXenes. MOFs COFs offer high capacities tunable structures, while GO MXenes exhibit excellent performance their large surface areas unique chemical properties. However, challenges such as regeneration costs, material stability, large-scale production remain significant barriers. discusses these challenges, compares advantages limitations, outlines future directions develop efficient adsorbents radioactive waste management environmental remediation.
