Nanoplastics (NPs) have become a new environmental pollutant that causes serious harm to food safety. They can be absorbed by plants, transported edible parts, transmitted the human body along chain, and threaten health. The research investigated transport accumulation pathways of polystyrene NPs (PS-NPs) at varying concentrations using red fluorescence labeling. An analysis was conducted on response pakchoi PS-NPs through combination transcriptional physiological experiments. enter xylem vessel root, subsequently carried petiole transpirational tension, eventually from petiole's vessels leaf. induced reactive oxygen species (ROS), which led oxidative damage. In addition, it also disturbed homeostasis endogenous hormones affected growth pakchoi. These findings help people understand adverse effects crops increase attention hazards NPs.
