Perovskite-based materials have become a new direction for peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation in pollutants degradation. However, the mechanism towards PMS remains insufficient. In this paper, series of LaMxMn1−xO3 with B-site doping were developed by sol-gel self-propagating combustion method. The prepared LaFe0.3Mn0.7O3/PMS system exhibited desired catalytic activity, almost 100% removal efficiency TC can be achieved within 50 min and 98% initial activity could maintained after 5 cycles. Quenching experiments EPR tests together certified vital roles •O2− 1O2 during degradation procedure. Simultaneously, performance was examined relation to varying pH values, coexisting chemicals, water conditions. DFT calculations demonstrated an increased electron concentration reactive sites Fe doping. addition, LaFexMn1−xO3 at electron-rich state bond strength O atoms encouraged adsorption/desorption intermediates process. aforementioned outcomes showed possibility application intricate, realistic aquatic environments.
