The complexity and diversity of ship traffic conditions have burdened maritime safety because the increasing transportation, especially in waters around busy ports. A shipping route modelling approach port areas is presented for identification monitoring characterized by confluence routes approaching entrance. In this study, a clustering-based adopted, which involves identifying trajectories different motion patterns corresponding to in-port out-port based on Principal Component Analysis K-mean clustering algorithms. Subsequently, centrelines are estimated each using Soft Dynamic Time Wrapping barycentre averaging algorithm from near centre trajectory defined Wrapping. Afterwards, boundaries generated with optimal distribution conjunction points at observation lines along centrelines. Finally, case study Leixões Portugal coast indicates that proposed framework practical model facilitates prudent selection vessels, ensuring promoting effective supervision.

Abstract The significance of drought monitoring and prediction systems has grown substantially due to the escalating impacts climate change. However, existing tools for analysis face several limitations, including restricted functionality single-variable indices, reliance on predefined probability distributions, lack flexibility in choosing need advanced programming expertise. These constraints hinder comprehensive accurate assessments. This study introduces DroughtStats, a novel, user-friendly software designed overcome these challenges enhance capabilities. DroughtStats integrates statistical analyze hydrometeorological data, compute both multivariable indices using empirical parametric methods, evaluate characteristics with improved accuracy. Notably, it supports broader range performs copula-based analyses, estimates potential evapotranspiration multiple Penman–Monteith. Additionally, can relationship between different datasets techniques like Kendall’s tau. By addressing limitations tools, provides more flexible approach monitoring. Its versatility global applicability are demonstrated through case Turkey’s Çoruh River Basin (CRB), where based precipitation streamflow calculated characterize conditions. results show that successfully identify events at various time scales, providing valuable insights into severity, frequency, recovery, offering reliable tool ongoing management.
