A pilot case study in East El Oweinat (PCSEO), Egypt. An artificial neural network (ANN)-based mountain gazelle optimization (MGO) model was applied to map groundwater potential zones (GWPZs). For this purpose, ten layers affecting occurrence were prepared and normalized against the drawdown (DD) map. All data divided into 70:30 for training testing. After that, sensitivity analysis adopted verify relative importance (RI) of layers. The accuracy GWPZs checked using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve other statistical indicators. finally propose a sustainable strategy exploration by implementing integrated MODFLOW-USG MGO framework. Over 40% PCSEO revealed high very degrees situated mostly on southwestern side. Sensitivity that significantly affected table (GWT), well density (WD), land use (LU). results also indicated ANN-based performed with an area under (AUC) ∼ 90% compared conventional models. Additionally, MODFLOW-USG-based gave spatial distribution optimal discharge well-depth zones. This finding could match SDGs relevant ending poverty, affordable groundwater, life land.

ABSTRACT Green-grey infrastructures' implementation has progressed significantly in cities around the globe for sustainable stormwater management. This review study conducted on green-grey optimization represented recent research trends, existing status, possible gaps, and future directions recommendations needed further improvements. The findings show that infrastructures got significant attention recently (after 2012) because of accessibility to computational resources development hydrological-hydraulic models algorithms. Furthermore, is mostly ten countries including China, USA Iran ranked first three places, respectively, delivering their advantages other with essential awareness knowledge. Most previous studies considered particular quantitative qualitative objectives these were at smaller retrofitting scales, therefore, need expand scope towards socio-ecological consideration larger areas or multi-stage planning, designing, implementation. Moreover, recommended consider stakeholders’ participation preliminary planning designing stages successful management approaches. Lastly, surrogate-based approaches instead traditional methods can overcome burden time future.

The role of community building portfolios in socioeconomic development and the growth built environment cannot be overstated. Damage to these structures can have far-reaching consequences on environmental aspects, requiring a long-term perspective for recovery. As communities aim enhance their resilience sustainability, there is cost burden that needs considered. To address this issue, paper proposes community-level performance enhancement approach focuses optimizing sustainability portfolios, taking into account recurrent seismic hazards. A Gaussian process surrogate-based multi-objective optimization framework utilized optimize objective while considering indicators sustainability. proposed involves using performance-based assessment methods evaluate under stochastic hazard scenarios. These evaluated are then used efficiently retrofit costs. Finally, approximate Pareto-optimal solutions extracted decision-making. In summary, presents novel by incorporates techniques achieve an optimal balance between cost, resilience, with ultimate goal enhancing well-being decision-making face

Conventional urban drainage infrastructure is gradually failing to attain sustainable development goals. Effective techniques for adapting climate change at the city level include use of green (UGDI). This study aims assess inherent barriers UGDI in Ghana. Primary data was gathered from 62 built environment professionals. Analytical tools included a component factor analysis and mean score ranking. A revealed four components explaining 67.967% total variance UGDI. Lack knowledge, information awareness ranked as most critical implementation barrier. It recommended that adoption evolves being an alternative "necessity" given its significance evident current climatic crises. novel attempt expose systems Ghana through innovation diffusion theory.
