Effect of Homologous and Heterologous Booster in COVID-19 Vaccination

Background: COVID-19 became a global health crisis in early 2020, and the way out of was rapid development vaccines by Sinopharm, Pfizer, Sputnik, among others, which played crucial role controlling pandemic. Therefore, this study aims to investigate long-term immune response measuring levels anti-S1 IgG antibodies induced homologous heterologous vaccination regimens. Methods: We investigated titer antibody produced for viral surface antigen 3, 6 months after second dose, before third 1, dose. Results: Anti-S1 significantly increased three/six dose following booster individuals without prior infection who received all three vaccine doses. The group that initially responded poorly Sinopharm showed significant sustained increase receiving Pfizer booster. Additionally, SARS-CoV-2 between primary boosted titers individuals, regardless used. highest efficacy observed during period declined over time, especially omicron-dominant period. Conclusions: results suggest while doses can enhance levels, type administered influence duration magnitude response.
