Abstract Background Medicinal plants play a major role in the delivery of healthcare, particularly among rural population Ethiopia. Plant extracts and their bioactive compounds have been utilized for treatment several diseases. This study was aimed at evaluating antibacterial activity, antioxidant capacity, phytochemical content selected medicinal used Dibatie district, western Methods Study were collected, shade dried, pulverized, extracted by maceration 80% ethanol, subjected to antibacterial, antioxidant, tests. Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) determined using 96-well microplates nutrient broth microdilution. Antioxidant activity evaluated 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging assay. Phytochemical screening conducted standard test methods. Results The ethanolic extract Polystachya steudneri Rchb.f. pseudobulbs most active against gram-negative Proteus mirabilis , Salmonella typhimurium Klebsiella pneumoniae Escherichia coli Shigella flexneri with MIC values 8 ± 0, 11 5, 3 1, 2 0 mg/mL, respectively. P. also effective gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus epidermidis Streptococcus agalactiae Enterococcus faecalis 16 Ethanolic Gnidia involucrata Steud. ex A.Rich. stems roots antioxidants, respective 50% DPPH concentrations (IC 50 ) 168.68 181.79 µg/mL, followed that = 203.11 µg/mL). contained alkaloids, anthocyanins, anthraquinones, cardiac glycosides, coumarins, flavonoids, phenols, saponins, steroids, tannins, terpenoids. Conclusions confirmed antibiotic, constituents investigated suggested further investigations may lead compounds.

The leaves extract of B. was used the current study for preliminary phytochemical analysis terms both quantitative and qualitative, which indicates presence phenols, alkaloids, flavonoids. Furthermore, demonstrated antifungal activity at 30 mm zone clearance against Candida albicans antibacterial 16 Bacillus nakamuria by well diffusion method different strains. showed MIC 20 µg/mL MBC 157.11 E. coli ELISA broth dilution method, respectively. To evaluate phytochemicals extract, further purification TLC, column chromatography, component GC–MS, reported 18 components, UV spectrum were performed. A number therapeutic applications observed, including antidiabetic (anti-glucosidase) 98.34% inhibition 100 µg/mL, anti-lipase 100% anti-amylase antioxidant (anti-DPPH activity) 59.74% anthelmintic 1 min 1000 antifibrinolytic secs cytotoxic A549 lung cell lines, wherein, viability below 40 % highest dose (100 µg/mL), with an IC50 value 39.9 µg/mL.

Objective: Türkiye is a country where many plants can grow due to its location and climate diversity. Rize, located in the Black Sea region, stands out notably tea cultivation high rainfall humidity. In recent years, studies this field have acquired momentum because of interest natural antioxidants. study, antioxidant properties different processing stages black grown Rize were comparatively examined. Methods: This study presents best combinations stirring time solvent obtain extracts from samples most efficient way. Five methods used for measurement activity, which are as follows: Cupric ion reducing capacity (CUPRAC) method, Ferric potential (FRAP) DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) scavenging activity Ferrous chelating (FIC) total phenolic content (TPC) method. Results: The results obtained CUPRAC, DPPH, TPC strongly support each other. other two also gave similar within themselves. When all examined, it was observed that last stage sample with highest properties, while first least properties. Conclusion: experimental points consumption beneficial helps body get

Mauritia flexuosa L.f. oil has high added value due to its antioxidant activity. This study evaluated the quality of 50 samples from eight regions Pará, using analytical and chemometric methods. Total carotenoids, polyphenols, flavonoids, vitamin C, acidity, peroxide, saponification, fatty acid indices were analyzed. Samples with higher residual load identified by Mahalanobis distance. Principal component analysis (PCA) highlighted total carotenoids as most relevant parameter, identifying three groups different levels biological activity (low, medium, high) significant cumulative variance. ANOVA did not indicate differences between regarding acids, but oleic was predominant in five regions. Nine are suitable for food sector, while others can be directed applications. The maximum concentrations C 1899 μg/g, 161.69 GAE/100 g, 125.02 mg EC/100 24.17 mg/100 respectively. demonstrated usefulness tools control this bioinput, facing local bioeconomy.
