Stimulus-responsive inorganic–organic hybrid metal halides (IOMHs) have shown great potential in applications such as sensing and anti-counterfeiting. IOMHs can undergo a variety of structural changes when triggered by humidity; however, relevant reports dimensionality change from zero dimension (0D) to one (1D) are rare. This study investigates the synthesis, structure, properties two antimony-based IOMHs, namely 0D-(Mp)3SbCl6·MeCN 1D-(Mp)2SbCl5 (Mp = protonated morpholine; MeCN acetonitrile). Photophysical characterizations show that (Mp)3SbCl6·MeCN, being excited at 375 nm, exhibits typical self-trapped exciton triplet state broad-band emission, with peak 620 nm quantum yield high 75.06%. Under humid conditions, 0D structure (Mp)3SbCl6·MeCN undergoes phase transition, leading 1D (Mp)2SbCl5. transition is accompanied fluorescence quenching. X-ray powder diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis confirm process its reversibility. Based on contrast before after demonstrated an ideal material for water sensing, capable detecting trace amounts tetrahydrofuran detection limit 0.2% v/v.

Nitrogen-doped biomass carbon dots (MP-NCDs) based on mangosteen peel were prepared by one-step hydrothermal method. Transmission electron microscopy demonstrated that MP-NCDs spherical and their particle size ranged from 2.6 to 5.0 nm. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy indicated they composed of C, N, O elements. Fourier transform infrared revealed surface was equipped with oxygen-containing amino-containing groups. Bright blue light emission characteristics demonstrated. They had high stability in aqueous solution salt solution. Furthermore, could be utilized as a bifunctional fluorescent probe for detecting Cr2O72- vanillin through the fluorescence quenching method, which exhibited selectivity, sensitivity, anti-interference performance. The detection limits determined 2.33 μM 4.6 μM, respectively. A detailed analysis conducted mechanism. performance sensing system tested real samples using river water infant formula models.
