The plastic injection moulding industry is a constantly developing industrial field. This process requires the manufacturing of metal moulds using complex heating and cooling systems. purpose this research to optimize both mould itself by combining practices in with current additive technologies, specifically Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) technology. A punch was manufactured WAAM technology, whose internal system has been designed under concept Conformal Cooling, conventional channel designs techniques order carry out comparative analysis. Theoretical results obtained CAE methods showed an improvement heat extraction mould. In addition, able achieve better temperature homogeneity final part, minimizing deformations part after extraction. Finally, proven be more efficient terms material consumption than mould, reducing buy-to-fly ratio 5.11.
