The purpose of this work is to study the effect sintering modes, especially temperature, on crystal lattice parameters and morphology ZrO2–nY2O3 (n = 3–8 mol%) ceramic microstructure components in relation corresponding fracture micromechanisms.The series ceramics were sintered an argon atmosphere at temperatures 1450C, 1500C, 1550C, 1600C. cross-sectional surfaces samples prepared for analysis using a grinding polishing Struers Tegramin machine. Young’s modulus values determined ultrasonic flaw detector Panametrics EPOCH III 2300. samples’ density porosity by Archimedes’ method. Scanning electron microscopes Hitachi SU3900 Carl Zeiss EVO-40XVP used analyse surface samples. For estimating chemical compositions energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy mode, INCA ENERGY 350 spectrometer was utilized. Microhardness measurement performed NOVOTEST TC-MKB1 microhardness tester. toughness material estimated single-edge notch beam (SENB) test Vickers indentation test. Both flexural strength SENB tests under three-point bending UIT STM 050 All mechanical carried out air temperature 20C.Optimal modes variety YSZ are found, taking into account combined percentage Y2O3, which resulted specified balance cubic, tetragonal, monoclinic zirconia phases, optimal features, implementation high-energy micromechanisms responsible high ceramics.To behaviour operating atmosphere, their microhardness, strength, should be evaluated pressure conditions.Based research performed, it possible design with necessary physical properties provide reliability products various industry branches.The as well change, stabilized amounts yttria, linked behaviour; method estimate crack growth resistance ceramics, appropriate micromechanism found.
