High chromium superalloys have good overall mechanical properties and are widely used in critical hot-end components. The current manufacturing process still faces the problem of low forming efficiency. Extreme high-speed laser metal deposition (EHLMD) is a new efficient additive technology that can quickly directly shape direct difficult-to-process materials. However, EHLMD possesses some inter-layer defects alloy due to its excessively fast scanning speed, implying there potential for further improvement properties. Hot isostatic pressing (HIP) as post-heat treatment primarily removal In this study, defects, microstructure, K648 superalloy using Micro-CT, XRD, SEM TEM under HIP were investigated. results show porosity decreased, slender needle-shaped α-Cr phase, γ′ phase coarse M6C carbides precipitated. tensile strength increased by about 240 MPa. plasticity was reduced. To improve superalloy, subsequent heat carried out. outcomes study expected promote high-quality development technology.
