Abstract We report the detailed investigation of magnetic, transport, and magnetocaloric effects (MCEs) GdSbSe by magnetic susceptibility χ ( T stretchy="false">) , isothermal magnetization M ( H ), resistivity ρ , H heat capacity C p measurements, crystallizing in ZrSiS-type tetragonal crystal system with space group P4/nmm. Temperature-dependent measurements revealed long-range antiferromagnetic ordering two additional anomalies below Néel temperature N 8.6 K), corroborated through specific studies. Isothermal unveil hidden metamagnetic signatures a clear deviation from linearity. In addition, enhanced value Sommerfeld coefficient γ = 152(5) mJ mol −1 K 2 ) suggests strong electronic correlations GdSbSe. The entropy derived isotherms unfolds field-induced transition Inverse MCE to Conventional MCE. transport properties indicate semimetallic behavior, strongly coupled order. Furthermore, linear field dependence MR high-field region anticipate possibility Dirac-like dispersion. Deviations Kohler’s rule non-linear Hall suggest multiband nature

Soft magnetic materials with high operating frequency and low power loss are crucial for electricity transmission utilization. However, finding an effective method to improve the while minimizing in these remains a significant challenge. Herein, we synthesized (Y1−xSmx)2Fe14B (0≤x≤1) compounds introduced nitrogen atoms into their interstitial crystal sites via gas–solid reaction, remarkably improving reducing loss. For x = 0.15, increased from 1.7 5.5 MHz, imaginary part of relative permeability decreased 6.1 1.6. The 1607.7 664.1kW/m3, separation indicated that eddy current Peddy was significantly suppressed by nitriding 1397.7 547.9kW/m3. conductivity approximately 43% nitriding, 9380.9 5359.0 S/m. These results demonstrate tuning through nitrogenation rare-earth transition metal intermetallic is developing new high-frequency soft materials.
