Abstract MgO–C refractories are of paramount importance in the converter side blowing system, requiring outstanding oxidation resistance under harsh conditions including high temperature, oxygen atmosphere, and high‐speed airflow. In this study, MgSiN 2 phase reconstruction was used to improve refractories, as well mechanical properties were evaluated. The results indicated that cold modulus rupture sample with 9 wt% increased by 93.3% compared without . After tests, index rate constant ( k ) reduced 38.9% 35.3%. Furthermore, incorporating facilitated formation layered dense structures consisting plate‐like Mg‐Sialon MgO–Mg SiO 4 –MgAl O This structural optimization effectively inhibited diffusion reaction within material, resulting gradual potential mitigation.

Al2TiO5 porous ceramics with high density and excellent thermal stability were prepared by the replica template method. MgO was introduced into adding magnesite (MgCO3) to slurry during preparation process. The compressive strength of varying MgCO3 content studied. Additionally, atomic-scale microstructure, stability, shock resistance 2 wt% investigated. results show that doped exhibit highest strength. crystallographic orientation relationships (ATO) - Mg0.3Al1.4Ti1.3O5 (MATO) MgAl2O4 (MAO) are observed as (1 1 3) ATO//(1 2) MATO [1‾ 2‾ 1] ATO//[1‾ MATO, ATO//(2 0) MAO MATO//[1‾ 0] for first time. In addition, remain phase stable after annealing at 1200 °C 20 h, residual is still higher than 88% cycles heating-cooling process 1400 °C. These indicate containing have potential applications in media combustion (PMC) field.
