Potassium hexatitanate whiskers are prepared and characterized in this study. The reinforcement of polyethylene with potassium is also investigated. through the calcination TiO2 K2CO3 at 1000 °C. It determined that a polyvinylpyrrolidone additive crucial for formation slender rod-like structures smooth flat surfaces high length-to-diameter ratio. For surface modification whiskers, γ-aminopropyl triethoxysilane has been identified as most effective coupling agent enhancing mechanical properties. have little change shape after modification, majority still retain considerable results tests indicate tensile strength modulus elasticity, well shear enhanced to some extent. elasticity increase by 18.6% 3.6%, respectively. modified composites show softness elasticity. elongation break PE/PHT-2-1 increases significantly 38.1%, exceeding unfilled (6.84%). Nevertheless, suitable method established reinforcing thermoplastic polymers using inexpensive whiskers.

A significant amount of carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere as a result extensive usage fossil fuels. The photocatalytic reduction and conversion CO2 under visible light alternative renewable solar fuels or other oxygenated products (methane, formaldehyde, methanol, formic acid) are practical efficient methods for reducing atmospheric pollution. Functional materials containing titanium (TiO2) have attracted interest CO2. In this direction, many studies been conducted in recent years, especially on energy harvesting charge separation, adsorption, activation, enhanced TiO2. Recent shown that brookite TiO2 (BT) was most active photocatalyst, followed by rutile anatase. Therefore, study aims to review detail advances development selective catalysts using with structure. This evaluates common obtaining BT. Abstract The development of highly efficient and durable photocathode materials represents a critical pathway toward the large‐scale implementation photoelectrochemical (PEC) technology for sustainable hydrogen production. Herein, high‐performance porous CuBi 2 O 4 (p‐CBO) integrated photocathodes solar water splitting via synergistic surface interface engineering strategy are rationally designed. construction CuO/CBO heterojunction NiO hole‐transport interfaces synergistically enhances PEC performance p‐CBO by almost four times. After platinization, exhibits record‐high photocurrent density 3.50 mA cm −2 at 0.4 V RHE with maximum applied bias photon‐to‐current efficiency 1.60%. Importantly, its photostability durability can be further improved an ultrafine Pt/RuO dual co‐catalyst. experimental theoretical results suggest enhanced performances mainly ascribed to increased light absorption, promoted interfacial charge transfer bulk separation, accelerated reaction kinetics reduced electron accumulation. By coupling optimized oxygen‐deficient TiO 2‐x nanocomposite photoanode, solar‐to‐hydrogen 0.31% is achieved excellent operational stability, establishing leading performer among CBO‐based tandem configurations unassisted overall splitting.
