Abstract Large scale production of aerogels with ultra‐low reflection coefficients for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding remains a significant challenge. This work reports gradient and large area composite nanocellulose fiber aerogel (CNA) discontinuous pores structures using ice crystal dissolution/regeneration atmospheric pressure drying strategies. The CNA consisting three layers ordered‐ordered‐disordered pore orientation achieved ultra‐high EMI efficiency (>90 dB) across ultra‐broad wave (EMW) bands (L, S, C, X, Ku‐band) exhibited coefficient (R ≈ 0.20). Simulation results confirmed that the average sizes 1 2 should be 120 40 µm achieving excellent EMW transmission absorption, respectively. disordered structure layer 3 an size less than 345 showed characteristics in reflecting is unaffected by material dielectric properties. Furthermore, demonstrated great potential selective recovery ethanol waste produced from preparation process.
