Wear resistance and optical properties are the key point for application of titanium alloys as structural materials in aerospace field. To enhance wear alloys, a black plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) coating incorporating MoSi2 nanoparticles was fabricated on TC4 alloy via PEO process, with being situ doped into coating. The doping nano-particles can effectively reduce pore size layer. nPEO exhibited lower surface roughness than that hardness increased to 42.5 HRC, significantly enhancing layer (40.7 HRC). Furthermore, coatings better property compared TC alloy, incorporation particles further improved performance most wavelength ranges. infrared emissivity 0.87, dramatic increase from 0.38 value alloy. This strategy enhances which is critical design used applications.
