Under the promotion of sustainable development goals, cleaner production (CP) has become an important strategy for energy-intensive manufacturing industries to maintain their competitiveness. Studies have shown that implementation Industry 4.0 (I4.0) can effectively promote CP process in manufacturing. However, existing studies often focus on specific scenarios, limiting a comprehensive assessment industry's overall status. This paper aims provide overview main research areas I4.0 and its key impacts by employing systematic mapping studies. By reviewing 121 retrieved from Web Science, hierarchical analysis framework centred product life cycle (PLC) been introduced. provides holistic intelligent manufacturing, summarizing application impact across PLC stages. The findings reveal growing CP, with maintenance stages being primary scenarios. Attention should be directed towards integrating clean technologies, bolstering industrial data security, fostering circular economy practices, exploring emerging fields like 5.0. Moreover, deep technologies will help drive further but requires concerted efforts enterprise managers, researchers, governments. These viewpoints conclusions are great significance guiding future practical applications.

Energy and production efficiency are critical for achieving sustainability competitiveness in polymer processing plants. A system with high energy performance enhances productivity while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. While Monitoring Targeting (M&T) methodologies widely used control Accounting Centers (EACs), they do not provide a diagnostic framework. The Gap Method (EGM), introduced 2018, addresses this gap by identifying the origin magnitude of inefficiencies through hierarchical model that defines six levels specific consumption (SEC). Inspired M&T strategies, EGM has led to development tools, including Performance Characteristic Line Diagnostics (PCLD), Activity-Based Target from (ABTD), Curve (PCCD). These tools enable manufacturers determine optimal batch sizes, establish minimum requirements, identify molds product references requiring intervention, support design energy-efficient components. By integrating these can optimize consumption, achieve cost savings, enhance environmental sustainability. This paper presents methodology two case studies demonstrating analytical capabilities developed improving within processes.

Digital technology has transformed sustainability reporting practices, creating both opportunities and homogenization risks. This study analyzes 9903 reports from Chinese listed companies (2009–2021) through cosine similarity analysis. It reveals high intercorporate (mean = 0.776). Fixed-effects modeling demonstrates that digital adoption increases report similarity, while analyst scrutiny innovation capacity significantly mitigate this convergence effect. The findings suggest tools promote isomorphic disclosure patterns template-driven reporting. Abstract Designing efficient materials is crucial to meeting specific requirements in various electrochemical energy applications. Mono‐/bimetallic doped and heterostructure engineering have attracted considerable research interest due their unique functionalities potential for conversion storage. However, addressing material imperfections such as low conductivity poor active sites requires a strategic approach design. This review explores the latest advancements modified by mono‐/bimetallic heterojunction strategies It can be subdivided into three key points: (i) regulatory mechanisms of metal doping materials; (ii) preparation methods with strategies; (iii) synergistic effects two approaches, further highlighting applications supercapacitors, alkaline ion batteries, electrocatalysis. Finally, concludes perspectives recommendations advance these technologies.
