Abstract Polyamines (putrescine, spermidine, and spermine) are aliphatic compounds ubiquitous in prokaryotes eukaryotes. Positively charged polyamines bind to negatively macromolecules, such as nucleic acids acidic phospholipids, involved physiological activities including cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis gene regulation. Intracellular polyamine levels regulated by biosynthesis, catabolism transport. the body originate from two primary sources: dietary intake intestinal microbial metabolism. These then transported into bloodstream, through which they distributed various tissues organs exert their biological functions. synthesized microorganisms serve dual critical roles. First, essential for maintaining concentrations within digestive tract. Second, transcriptional post-transcriptional mechanisms, these microbial-derived modulate expression of genes governing key processes epithelial cells—including migration, apoptosis, cell–cell interactions. Collectively, regulatory effects help maintain homeostasis ensure integrity gut barrier. In addition, interact with microbiota promoting growth, biofilm formation, swarming, endocytosis vesicle production, etc. Supplementation has been demonstrated be important regulating host composition, enhancing nutrient absorption, improving metabolism immunity. this review, we will focus on recent advances study transport microbes cells. We summarize scientific understanding roles homeostasis, exploring cellular molecular mechanisms potential clinical applications, providing a rationale an target treatment intestinal-based diseases.
