Currently, there is an increasing pressure to decarbonize and meet energy demands. In this regard, the usage of renewable sources becoming more prominent. Biomass can significantly contribute effort. However, due logistical costs, its exploitation often considered less 'desirable.' Sometimes, particularly in context residual biomass, open burning on site desirable. This study aims optimize biomass supply chain by leveraging digitalization's advantages, thereby creating a new model for purpose. Methodologically, research initially adopted empirical approach, analyzing documents from project that recreated current scenario. second phase, involved literature review gather insights needed developing final model. Consequently, offers three major contributions: detailed mapping scenario, comprehensive synthesis potentials emerging technologies chain, illustrating integration these biomass. Thus, presents opportunity transform common 'leftover' into value-added material. To better assess model's value, two analyses, PEST SWOT, were conducted align conceptual proposal with real-world contexts.

The agricultural and food production sectors have a predominant role in the bioeconomy of European Union (EU), followed by wood production. These make significant contributions not only to national economies but also local areas, particular rural ones. Although digitalisation businesses within sector transforms enterprises, improving value chains creating benefits for communities where these enterprises are situated, there still many barriers digitalisation.
