Abstract Origami structures are often attractive for a broad range of applications in engineering, design, and robotics because their useful characteristics such as reconfigurable geometry, tunable stiffness, energy absorption capacity. Although algorithms software is available origami design folding analysis, they generally isolated from other computational tools. To contribute to filling this research gap, we propose unified parametric workflow based on grasshopper combined with multi-objective optimization process. end, first, model ring-shaped fourfold structure, called the Miura-oRing metastructure, developed appropriate geometric parameters. Its nonlinear process then simulated according compatibility conditions given constraints. Simultaneously, modal analysis iteratively performed, using SAP2000 through C# scripts, obtain relationships structural configuration, mass, stiffness structure. Finally, an inverse fitting cylindrical annulus carried out Octopus, considering spatial fit, Miura-oRing. A comparison made between obtained results those simulator physical models validate performance proposed method. After balancing three objectives recommended parameters prescribed set dimensions. This study provides that integrates kinematics, performance, enabling desirable geometric, kinematic, characteristics.

This paper presents parametric and multi-objective optimization (MOO) approach in optimizing daylight energy consumption by incorporating louvres shading devices depicting three different sky conditions: Birmingham, UK, Jakarta, Indonesia, Sydney, Australia. The study aims to observe the best louvre design configuration for each given context. proposed system iterates logic of device as dynamic parameters such overhang, blade size, spacing, rotation, together with room orientation achieve maximum useful illuminance (UDI) aperture while simultaneously reduces consumption. A total 8509 simulations cities have been run distributed purpose this research. results MOO stated an improvement UDI Sydney 80%, 146.26%, 79.48%, cooling 28%, 3.26%, 2.99% respectively.
