Purpose The research aims to investigate and analyse various complex interrelationships of positive negative factors that significantly impact dynamic scheduling (DS) in the New Zealand construction industry rank them for improved project outcomes. Design/methodology/approach study used a combination methods, including systematic literature review using PRISMA guidelines expert consultations. analysis included pairwise comparison (with steps within analytical hierarchy process) degree centrality calculation affecting DS industry. Findings For first time, this identifies five most prominent strategic operational-level interacting with others. study’s findings indicate poor planning, incomplete drawings specifications/project information, material unavailability/prefabricated product availability, inclement weather lack work permits are primary affect operationally. On other hand, cultural heritage diversity, climate change mitigation adaptation management have effect. Climate resource unavailability/instability among top negatively strategically. Poor planning is influential factor at operational level, six out degrees. At same availability specifications/incomplete information were influenced by three degrees each. diverse factor. Additionally, paper stands its clear distinction between 176 11 distinct categories, visual representation 61 formerly identified from SLR 14 previously unidentified interactions consultation Research limitations/implications centres around studying English language literature. Using specific databases such as Scopus, EBSCO Science Direct searching after 2017 may potentially narrow scope global viewpoints. We acknowledge there limitations terms consultation. Further studies should encompass non-English sources incorporate empirical approaches confirm detected correlations implications customised viewpoint or country. Road intersection projects are crucial for road infrastructure networks’ safe and efficient operation. Despite their importance, the construction of these faces significant challenges, such as delays, cost overruns, litigation. Several causal factors phenomena have been identified being associated with schedule planning process. However, more studies need to be conducted analyze process in detail. Therefore, purpose this paper is projects, emphasizing identifying associating deficiencies consequences on Colombian projects. The research method comprises three main stages: (1) identification processes, (2) relation causes (3) analysis A total 29 processes were identified, which 22 deficiency assigned based interviews ten experts. influence budget deviations was analyzed study 25 intersections. results show that lack experience planner poor estimation material quantities strongly generation Thus, contributes improving by shortcomings can lead deviations.

This study analyzes the use of new technologies, such as building information modeling (BIM), to simplify process management in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction sector. By providing dynamic, realistic system models, BIM enables innovative collaboration within a common data environment. In that context, this focuses on operational construction sites. Recognizing limitations for spatial analyses, research integrates geographic systems (GIS) through three-phase methodology: (a) development models; (b) definition GIS; (c) BIM-GIS integration. To demonstrate effectiveness methodology, applies it case managing an airport site, focusing obstacles hazards air navigation. However, methodology identified is generalizable could be adapted other applications with proper calibration required parameters. The application highlights potential integrating GIS systems, particularly safety management. inherent structural differences between two often require model simplifications, especially complex projects. also reveals GIS-BIM interoperability not always seamless, emphasizing need further enhance integration processes improve compatibility future applications.

Given the complexity and variability of modern construction projects, safety risk management has become increasingly challenging, while traditional methods exhibit deficiencies in handling complex dynamic environments, particularly those involving unstructured text data. Consequently, this study proposes a data-based prediction method for building safety. Initially, heuristic Chinese automatic word segmentation, which incorporates mutual information, information entropy statistics, TF-IDF algorithm, preprocesses data to extract factor keywords construct accident attribute variables. At same time, Spearman correlation coefficient is utilized eliminate multicollinearity between feature Next, XGBoost algorithm employed develop model predicting risks associated with safe production. Its performance optimized through three experimental scenarios. The results indicate that achieves satisfactory overall after hyperparameter tuning, accuracy F1 score reaching approximately 86%. Finally, SHAP interpretation technique identifies critical factors influencing production construction, highlighting project managers’ attention safety, government regulation, design, emergency response as determinants severity. main objective minimize human intervention assessment using rich empirical knowledge embedded text, aim reducing accidents promoting sustainable development industry. This not only enables paradigm shift toward intelligent control but also provides theoretical practical insights into decision-making technical support
