The large drying shrinkage is one of the most serious factors limiting practical application alkali-activated slag concrete (AASC). In this study, based on successful reduction waste cooking oil for paste (AASP), influence stearic acid (saturated fatty acids) and oleic (unsaturated fresh properties (setting time fluidity), physical characteristics (density water absorption), mechanical strengths (flexural strength compressive strength), durability (drying shrinkage, self-shrinkage, carbonation resistance) are systematically compared. experimental results reveal that admixing can effectively inhibit self-shrinkage AASP. Specifically, adding 1 wt% (oleic acid) reduce AASP by 20% (25%) 32% (55%), respectively. Remarkably, combined usage two additives maximize performance AASP, such as obtaining satisfactory strengths, extending initial setting time, improving resistance. developed be regarded a low-cost environmentally-friendly product, which promote applications AASC.

Chloride corrosion is a key factor affecting the life of marine concrete, and surface chloride concentration main parameter for analyzing its durability. In this paper, we first introduce six erosion mechanism models ion concentration, reveal convection effect in diffusion behavior ions, then mechanisms that occur different exposure environments. On basis, analysis carried out using empirical formulations machine learning methods, which provides clearer understanding research characteristics differences between formulas emerging techniques. This paper summarizes time-varying model multifactor coupling on basis analysis. It found exponential function reciprocal are more consistent with distribution law containing most effective, Chen reliable. Machine learning, as an method, has been widely used concrete durability research. can make up shortcomings formula method solve problem strong prediction ability. addition, difficulty data acquisition also major restricts development incorporating maintenance conditions into future direction. Through study, researchers systematically understand methods their respective choose appropriate techniques to explore structures. Moreover, intelligent computing will certainly occupy increasingly important position

Alkali-activated materials are promising alternatives to cement. This study investigated the effects of silica content, particle size, and replacement ratio rice husk ash (RHA) on compressive strength optimization these parameters. Seventeen mixtures with different were tested evaluate their strengths. Three levels RHA used. The characteristics based Archimedes porosity, pH, ignition loss, X-ray diffraction. experimental results reveal that was p-values < 0.002, which affected compared size (p-values 0.450) content 0.017). It confirmed optimum values 50 µm, 90%, 15 wt.%, respectively. After re-testing, mortar made 49.8 MPa. increase in also found be closely related loss paste. increased decreasing porosity pH increasing formation calcite C-S-H.

The effect of an alternative source silica, based on class F fly ash mixed with blast furnace slag and activated by rice husk (RHA), to produce concrete exposed marine environments was evaluated. Four mixtures the combination 85% NaOH 14M + 15% RHA were manufactured achieve a liquid/solid ratio 0.20. Fly incorporated into steel mixture at addition percentages 20, 40, 60, 80%, evaluated 28, 900, 1800 days for pore chloride ion absorption. In general, including in significantly affected mechanical performance because it possible obtain high resistance. Concerning durability evaluation, activator generated observed, increase added cementitious samples improved capacity material resist penetration diffusion ions.
