Structural reliability assessment is of great significance for the safety and maintenance structures. In recent years, moment method has been rapidly developed applied widespread its simplicity performance. Sometimes, accuracy method, using only first four moments (i.e., mean value, standard deviation, skewness, kurtosis), not sufficient in evaluating index strong non-Gaussian performance functions. this study, a based on quartic normal transformation (QNT) proposed structural assessment, which enables incorporation five moments, including super-skewness, function. The QNT model derived. function are estimated by introducing point estimate method. Seven engineering examples employed to demonstrate efficacy QNT. results show that computational efficiencies CNT were close each other both superior MCS. also aspect robustness particular functions with non-Gaussianity.
