In actual operation of an air source heat pump unit, the outdoor coils generally showcase uneven surface temperature distribution, and this leads to frosting. Homogenizing frosting has been demonstrated be helpful for anti-frosting. study, two strategies, i.e., airflow regulation refrigerant flow regulation, were proposed tackle issue. Experimental tests with a newly designed exchanger conducted demonstrate these strategies. The experimental results depicted in semi-experimental evaluation plot, which anti-frosting potential quantitatively clarified. Specifically, by implementing critical could reduced 1.6 °C, relative humidity 4%–8%, respectively. Such optimization can significantly reduce annual accumulated duration. detail, duration decreased nearly 50% Hohhot, Urumqi, Xining; 35%–40% Beijing Lhasa, greater than 55% Kunming; 45% Wuhan 80% Shanghai.
