Siberian
flying
squirrel
(Pteromys
volans)

species
of
Habitats
Directive
(92/43/EC)
European
Union,
which
one
key
instruments
for
biodiversity
preservation
in
Europe.
Strict
protection
has
a
potential
to
cause
conflicts
areas
where
forest
management
and
urban
development
compete
same
space
with
squirrel.
This
study
examined
attitudes
Finnish
citizens
toward
squirrels
using
survey
data
collected
three
cities:
Espoo,
Jyväskylä,
Kuopio.
Two
samples
(random
self-selection
samples)
were
investigate
how
specific
process
giving
“voice”
by
polls
planning
affects
results.
analysis
was
conducted
integrating
factor
cluster
multinomial
logistic
regression
modeling.
Four
attitude
groups

“neutral
