Paeonia suffruticosa Andr. (Tree peony) is a well-known traditional Chinese medicine, which has been widely cultivated for thousands of years and its root bark used in many prescriptions. Oil peony ( ostii rockii ) planted large areas since tree seed oil was approved as new food resource by the National Health Commission (Ministry Health) P.R. China 2011. However, leaves were often regarded waste resources during cultivation there few comparative studies on chemical constituents from different origins. In this study, thirty-five P . four provinces taken research objects. The methods high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC-DAD) fingerprinting combined with multivariate analysis, including similarity analysis (SA), principal component (PCA), orthogonal partial least square method-discriminant (OPLS-DA) hierarchical cluster (HCA), to evaluate difference composition between samples. UPLC-ESI-Q/TOF-MS/MS HPLC-DAD qualitative quantitative characteristic components. results showed that seventeen common peaks screened HPLC fingerprints samples 0.864 0.999. Thirty-five origin divided into groups OPLS-DA PCA, but not HCA. Meanwhile, ten compounds found be most closely related marker components quality evaluation. addition, 56 preliminarily identified technology. Finally, some differences contents seven leaves. This study provided reasonable method discrimination evaluation producing areas, laid foundation comprehensive utilization development resources.

Traditionally, the quality evaluation of Chrysanthemum morifolium (CM) cv. (Juhua) attributes its habitats and processing methods, however, this strategy neglecting bioactive ingredients usually results in deviation evaluation. This study aims to explore marker (Q-marker) based on spectrum-effect relationship control CMs. The chromatographic fingerprint 30 flower head samples CMs from five different including Hang-baiju, Gongju, Huaiju, Taiju Boju were constructed by high performance liquid chromatography analyzed through chemometrics methods such as similarity analysis (SA), cluster (CA) principal component (PCA). common peaks quantified external standard method relative correction factor method. in-vitro radical scavenging capacity assays DPPH·, ·OH ABTS carried out. Q-marker was explored correlation between contents capacity, then used evaluate A total eight appointed CMs, their similarities ranged 0.640 0.956. CA showed that could be divided into categories with reference Euclidean distance 5. PCA played a major role differential contribution quantification hinted possessed significant variation whether for accessions or same chlorogenic acid, 3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic unknown peak 1, 4,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside Q-markers commercially available combines analysis, multiple quantification, chemical anti-oxidant activity clarified therapeutic material basis discovered Q-markers, which possibly offers more comprehensive assessment

Processing of Chinese herbal medicines (CHMs) is a traditional pharmaceutical technology in medicine. Traditionally, proper processing CHMs necessary to meet the specific clinical requirements different syndromes. with black bean juice considered one most important techniques technology. Despite long-standing practice Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua (PCH), there little research on changes chemical constituents and bioactivity before after processing. This study investigated influence composition PCH. The results revealed significant both contents during Saccharide saponin content significantly increased Moreover, processed samples exhibited considerably stronger DPPH ABTS radical scavenging capacity, as well FRAP-reducing compared raw samples. IC50 values for were 1.0 ± 0.12 mg/mL 0.65 0.10 samples, respectively. For ABTS, 0.07 0.25 0.04 mg/mL, Additionally, sample demonstrated higher inhibitory activity against α-glucosidase α-amylase (IC50 = 1.29 0.48 mg/mL) 5.58 0.22 0.80 0.09 mg/mL). These findings underscore significance enhancing properties PCH lay foundation its further development functional food. elucidates role offers valuable insights application.

Abstract Introduction Zhou Tian Formula (ZTF) is an antidepressant traditional Chinese medicine utilized widely in clinical settings for the treatment of patients with depression. However, shortcomings persist its extraction technology and quality control. Objective This study aimed to propose a methodology ZTF based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP)–criteria importance through intercriteria correlation (CRITIC) method establish control framework efficient transfer index components. Method Firstly, we analyzed chemical components determined optimal technology. Secondly, calculated efficiency during conversion water decoction extract powder subsequently granules. Thirdly, established HPLC fingerprints 15 batches decoction, powder, We employed SIMCA software analyze chemicals responsible variations among different Results process. The average ferulic acid, puerarin, mirificin, isoferulic calycosin granules exceeded 41%. exhibited similarity exceeding 0.890. Variable projection values indicated that calycosin, puerarin were primary contributors variations. Conclusions AHP‐CRITIC method, coupled orthogonal array design, could be used exploring In addition, rules governing from granules, applied evaluation assessment ZTF.

Polygonatum sibiricum (P. sibiricum) is a significantly health-promoting plant unique in medicine and food. Currently, research on the bioactive components of P. primarily focuses polysaccharides. According to Chinese Pharmacopoeia, polysaccharide content must be at least 7.0%, which only criterion used for determining its content. In contrast, this study aims thoroughly investigate clarify various that contribute therapeutic functional properties sibiricum. We seek broaden focus beyond polysaccharides identify other potentially significant substances. established High-Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC) fingerprints wine-processed from regions identified 17 common peaks. The antioxidant activities these were assessed using ABTS DPPH methods. spectrum–effect relationship was elucidated through partial squares regression grey relational analysis. results revealed active include 5-hydroxymethylfurfural, p-hydroxycinnamic acid, myricetin, caffeic vanillic adenosine. This not clarifies material basis but also establishes scientific foundation enhanced quality control future applications.
