This study focuses on synthesizing a composite material of Ag/ZnO/BiOCl using Ag, ZnO, and BiOCl as raw materials. The was prepared by loading Ag onto ZnO nanofilms, aiming to enhance the photocatalytic degradation ciprofloxacin (CIP). Optimization process through single-factor experiments revealed that under conditions an initial CIP pH 9, dosage 1 g/L, concentration 5 mg/L conversion efficiency reached 98.79% after 150 min exposure 250 W xenon lamp simulating sunlight. Furthermore, maintained 86.17% for even five cycles reuse, demonstrating its excellent stability. optical properties, elemental composition, valence state, crystallinity, morphology samples were analyzed techniques such X-ray diffraction (XRD), photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), photoluminescence (PL), UV–visible diffuse reflectance (UV-vis DRS), Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM). results indicate introduction expanded light response range while addition improved separation electron–hole pairs in nanomaterial. mechanism further elucidated radical scavenging experiments, confirming ·OH h+ are main active species process.
