ABSTRACT Based on nitrogen and phosphorus co‐doped carbon dots (NP‐CDs), a direct, quick, selective sensing probe for fluorometric detection of rutin has been developed. Utilizing ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid (EDTA) as source diammonium hydrogen phosphate (NH 4 ) 2 HPO source. The NP‐CDs were synthesized in less than 3 min with straightforward one‐step microwave pyrolysis process high quantum yield (63.8%). After being excited at λ = 360 nm, the produced displayed maximum bluish fluorescence em 420 nm. Rutin quenched based inner filter effect static quenching processes. Along International Council Harmonization (ICH) requirements, developed spectrofluorometric method was validated. linearity range 0.50–35.00 μg/mL rutin. successfully employed to determine concentrations marketed tablets. is simple, consistent, sensitive, selective, it does not require expensive chemicals or specialized instruments. This study paves path future application NP‐CD pharmaceutical analysis.

Diamine compounds are widely used as surface modifiers in the functionalization of carbon quantum dots, yet effects different diamines on properties dots remain unclear. In this study, (P-CDs) were synthesized from peanut shell powder via a simple one-step microwave-assisted hydrothermal method. The these was modified through co-heating with ethylenediamine (EDA), o-phenylenediamine (OPD), m-phenylenediamine (MPD), and p-phenylenediamine (PPD). morphology optical P-CDs systematically analyzed. diamine-modified exhibited varying sizes similar crystal structures, significantly enhanced fluorescence yields, reaching 35.2% for EDA-CDs. EDA-CDs OPD-CDs demonstrated excitation-dependent emission behavior, while MPD-CDs PPD-CDs did not. Based EDA-CDs, probe high sensitivity Fe3+ developed, showing good linear response within concentration range 20–100 μM detection limit 2.768 μM. Additionally, ion recovery rate 100.85% both deionized tap water, indicating practical applicability. This study provides essential guidance nitrogen modification biomass-derived presents promising potential applications.
