Cut lisianthus (Eustoma grandiflorum) is an appealing and popular multiflorous inflorescence, but its florets leaves tend to wilt rapidly quickly lose their freshness. In this study, considering typical water- sugar-deficiency symptoms, the potential benefits of vase treatments with nano-silver (NS) sucrose on improving performance cut 'Lucetta' were investigated. Compared control in deionised water, 2.0 mg/L NS or 3% alone could only moderately prolong life lisianthus, whereas combination treatment significantly prolonged life. Additionally, demonstrated notable synergistic effects daily opening rate florets, ornamental value, solution uptake, relative fresh weight, markedly enhancing performance. Further scanning under electron microscope revealed that effectively reduced bacterial cells biofilm formation stem-end surfaces xylem vessels stem-ends, water was invaded by a deep layer bacteria, extensively blocked mass bacteria.
