In recent years, with the increasing demand for building energy efficiency and comfort in daily life, electrochromic smart windows have attracted widespread attention. Electrochromic utilize material (ECM) technology to change color or transparency of window under action an electric field, thereby regulating light heat entering room achieving energy-saving effects. A bistable is a that can switch between two states maintain one these without external field. Although ECMs properties significantly reduce consumption, current research on their application limited. Therefore, three conjugated extended viologen polymers thiophene derivative bridges, PDV-MMA, PBV-MMA, PTV-MMA, were designed synthesized, devices (ECDs) prepared. The introduction derivatives not only prolongs effective chain length viologen, but also extends (EC) response near-infrared (NIR) region. addition, by inserting different separate pyridinium moieties, emit strong fluorescence be quenched applying negative voltage. device based PDV-MMA has fast time (1.8 s), low turn-on voltage (-0.9 V), high contrast (73.7%), coloring (550 cm2/C), cycling stability (3300 cycles). ECD exhibits characteristics, 10% transmittance decay within 221 min, displaying clear patterns even after 20 h power outage, reducing indoor temperature (7.0 °C) simulated environments. These characteristics make highly attractive energy-efficient buildings. study demonstrated intelligent system driven solar cell (SC), further validating its feasibility practical applications.
