settings.

enabled
examination
distinct
conceptualizations
operationalizations
that
been
advanced
theories
underpinning
scholarship.
We
developed
conceptual
model
integrates
cognitive
discrepancy
theory,
affect
social
exchange,
evolutionary
theory.

mediators,
outcomes,
moderators,
interventions

nomological
network

cross-level
influences
within

Introduction
University
students
are
at
high
risk
for
loneliness
with
a
potential
negative
impact
on
health.
The
COVID-19
measures
disrupted
students’
academic
routine
and
social
life,

their
perception
of
loneliness.

prevalence

among
university
in
Germany
during
pandemic
