Results A total 20.6% reported Students or anxiety symptoms had more than eight- sixfold odds, respectively, reporting (depressive symptoms: OR = 8.29; 95% CI: 7.21–9.52; anxiety: 6.48; 5.65–7.43) compared who did not report any symptoms. less physically active likely experience (no moderate activity: 1.39; 1.21–1.59; no vigorous 1.19; 1.04–1.36). We found association between activity. However, was associated being single (OR 2.93; 2.55–3.36), living alone 1.31; 1.13–1.52), having temporary residency status 2.24; 1.65–3.04). Objective: There have been consistent concerns about a greater impact of COVID-19 on the mental health younger people and females. We aimed to explore potential synergistic effect various pandemic-related stressors with age sex general Canadian household population during pandemic. Methods: Using cross-sectional data from Statistics Canada 2022 Mental Health Access Care Survey (MHACS), frequencies for major depressive episode (MDE), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), psychological distress, demographic factors were estimated. Odds ratios estimated using binary logistic regression models. These estimates used replicate bootstrapping procedure recommended by Canada. Background/Objectives: The COVID-19 pandemic is behind us, but the experiences gained during its course can serve as a framework for preventive actions in future crises. main objectives were to examine predictors of loneliness older adults and explore mediating effects emotional stability between pandemic-specific stressors loneliness. To achieve set objectives, we developed questionnaire measure adults. Methods: A cross-sectional research design was used. total 578 participants both genders (38.9% male, 61.1% female) aged 65 above (M = 74.09, SD 6.72) participated this study. self-reported measures used included following: Ten-Item Personality Inventory, Revised Loneliness Scale, Clinical Outcomes Routine Evaluation, Pandemic-Specific Stressors Questionnaire Older Adults. Abstract Introduction There is considerable interest in whether individuals substitute cannabis for alcohol and legalisation's potential to reduce or increase alcohol‐attributable harms. This study aimed determine non‐medical legalisation Canada was associated with initial changes population‐level consumption. Methods observational population‐based described sales between 2004 2022. We calculated annual the per capita volume of pure ethanol sold Canada. used an interrupted time series approach examine immediate gradual price‐adjusted retailer value (CAD$) beer producer (litres product) after legalisation. Results During 2004–2022, Canadians aged 15+ spent on average CAD $751 year alcoholic beverages containing 8.18 L ethanol. Annual volumes decreased by 0.06 (95% confidence interval [CI] −0.08 −0.04; p = 0.001) litres annually but increased 0.05 CI 0.04 0.07; other beverages, leaving no significant trend overall. Following October 2018, there were (−0.1%, 95% −1.3 1.1; 0.82) (−0.1% monthly, −0.3 0.0; 0.12) sales. Discussion Conclusion Canada's not These findings do support idea that may result declining use harms through substitution alcohol.
