Neurodevelopmental disorders affect the lifespan of diagnosed individuals and their families. COVID-19 challenged these families with daily routine unpredictability requiring rapid adaptations. Moreover, associations schools were closed, leaving without regular social support. Here, we investigate which individual family factors can predict caregiver’s depressive state overall burden. An online study took place between 2021 2022. A total 32 caregivers (30 women; 48 ± 8.22 years old; range 26 to 63 old) reported having a member neurodevelopmental disorder, majority autism spectrum disorder. Caregivers responded protocol assess burden, resilience, depressive, anxious, stress symptomatology, as well behavior individual. Hierarchical multiple regressions performed identify protective risk for caregivers’ well-being. Caregivers’ was explained by 29.3% variance cohesion factor, indicating that high levels balanced represent crucial factor reducing state. Additionally, caregiver burden 17.8% due self-perception 26.4% cohesion, playing an important role in perception The proportion male female respondents seems corroborate significant women caregiving. These results emphasize importance considering both during interventions, have implications therapy members disorders, specifically autism.

Objective: Widespread mental health impacts occurred early in the COVID-19 pandemic, especially for those with pre-existing conditions. Less is known about how these groups fared later phases and post- pandemic. We compared late-pandemic on adults ill-health other vulnerabilities to enable better service planning future crises.Design methods: This mixed-method study surveyed 532 online, 2021-2022. All participants self-reported ill-heath either formal autism diagnosis (181), self-identification of (167), or were non-autistic (184). Self-ratings health, need healthcare ease access during COVID across demographics. Responses an open question analysed using Reflexive Thematic Analysis. Results: Most reported poor high needs great difficulty obtaining appropriate care Significant differences found age, neurotype education level: younger worse health; people neurodivergent conditions than (NDCs) greater healthcare; NDCs lower levels care. analysis identified four themes/sub-themes: “Greater most”; “Exceptions rule: improvements some (mainly autistic people)”; “Navigating a scarce resource”; “Telehealth: enabler some, barrier others”. Conclusions: Having condition rather status was more important determining pandemic impacts.
