Purpose This study aims to explore how engagement with AI mediates the relationship between adoption in tourism and resulting smart experiences, which ultimately foster both love perceived happiness among tourists. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected from 622 domestic Thai tourists aged 19 above who visited Khon Kaen Province within past three months used AI-powered tools for tourism. The hypothesised model was tested using structural equation modelling (SEM) through a two-step approach. Findings reveals that successful integration of largely depends on depth tourists’ these technologies. Greater fosters enriched experiences stronger emotional bonds. Research limitations/implications utilises stimulus-organism-response (S-O-R) examine impact tourist behaviour, making substantial theoretical contributions expanding body literature Practical implications Tourism operators policymakers should prioritise fostering meaningful technologies enhance strengthen connections destinations, aligning Thailand’s digital transformation initiatives. Originality/value emphasises crucial role – rather than mere shaping outcomes, thereby contributing

Purpose Chatbots are increasingly embodied in business and IS contexts to enhance customer user experience. Despite wide interest chatbots among academics, surprisingly, there no current comprehensive reviews reveal the knowledge structure of chatbot research such areas. Design/methodology/approach This study employed a mixed-method approach that combines systematic review bibliometric analysis provide synthesis research. The sample was obtained December 2023 after searching across six databases: EBSCOhost, PsycINFO, Web Science, Scopus, ACM Digital Library IEEE Computer Society Library. Findings reveals major trend publication trends, countries, article performance cluster distribution We also identify key themes research, which mainly focus on how users interact with their consequences, as users’ cognition behavior. Moreover, several important agendas have been discussed address some limitations fields. Originality/value present is one first attempts systematically ongoing map fields, makes contributions provides useful resources for future practice.

Purpose This study uses the pleasure–arousal–dominance (PAD) theory to explore how users’ emotional engagement with ChatGPT drives their continued adoption of and word-of-mouth (WOM) behaviour in context travel-related service. Design/methodology/approach obtained reliable data from 428 Chinese respondents who used for purposes. Structural equation modelling was test a series hypotheses based on PAD framework. Findings identifies three key features human–artificial intelligence (AI) interaction, namely, service ubiquity, entertainment anthropomorphism, which significantly influence responses, including pleasure, arousal dominance. Dominance pleasure are found enhance experiences, driving positive WOM recommendations ChatGPT, whereas influences but does not affect adoption. The results also confirm that perceived interacting has strongest effect. These findings advance theoretical understanding by clarifying mechanisms underlying human–AI interactions tourism context. Originality/value examines emerging trend tourists’ continuous services. highlight different emotions interaction long-term use AI-powered tool

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled Conversational Agents (AICAs) on religious tourists’ experiences. It explores how AICA attributes influence cognitive and affective states these evaluations, in turn, affect their memorable tourism experiences (MRTEs) continuous use intentions AICAs. Design/methodology/approach Drawing stimulus-organism-response model Technology Readiness Index, authors propose a new theoretical framework examine relationships among (stimuli), evaluations (organism), behavioral responses (MRTEs intentions). conceptual, with supported through comprehensive literature review. Findings posits that attributes, such as informativeness, accessibility, empathy personalization, shape These MRTEs, influencing willingness continue using AICAs future Additionally, technology readiness posited moderate relationship between evaluations. Recommendations are made research can be conducted test proposed conceptual model. Originality/value This enhances AI by examining AICAs’ exploring multidimensional nature adoption. provides foundation for empirical research. offers insights operators service providers, guiding strategic enhance MRTEs while respecting sacred spiritual journeys. inform development more effective culturally sensitive AI-driven solutions contexts.
