Digital infrastructure, serving as the fundamental carrier of data elements, allows China to balance economic growth with reduced carbon intensity, opening new pathways for sustainable development globally. This study employs a Difference-in-Differences (DID) approach investigate impact digital infrastructure on urban total factor emission performance, and extend research perspective micro level, focusing mechanisms involving household consumption enterprise production. The results demonstrate that (1) can enhances performance by promoting green product innovation enterprises changing consumers’ patterns (2) Heterogeneity analysis indicates cities higher income educational levels among residents experience more significant improvement in infrastructure’s varies when combined characteristics technological capabilities, non-state-owned high-tech having relatively carbon-saving effects. this paper emphasize role micro-subjects process affecting total-factor which has important theoretical practical significance guiding future policies strategies.

Product environmental information is considered a useful strategy to translate consumers’ intention into actual green product purchase behaviors. The underlying theoretical explanations of the importance await exploration. This research applies theory planned behavior lens study theorical mechanism how affects consumer behaviors in e-commerce context. E-commerce covered model as new variable which can be studied for its impact on As results show, and perceived behavioral control both positively behavior. Specifically, consequences, mediated by behavior, significantly improve durable products such air conditioners. Meanwhile, frequency moderate relation For fast-moving goods, online buyer reviews ratings enhance through chained mediation effect due linked with subjective norms. Information consumption (IC) has emerged as a critical driver of the digital transformation enterprises (DTE) and sustainable corporate development, garnering significant attention in recent years. Nevertheless, research focused on role IC driving factor DTE remains relatively scarce. The information pilot policy (ICPP), key initiative aiming to foster products services, plays an essential refining systems mechanisms, enhancing demand-side management, facilitating DTE. Using data from Chinese A-share listed companies, this study leverages ICPP quasi-natural experiment employs difference-in-differences (DID) model evaluate effects underlying mechanisms DTE, with objective elucidating how drives findings indicate that significantly accelerates conclusion robust across multiple validation tests. Further investigation reveals stronger impact non-state-owned enterprises, capital-intensive technology-intensive growth-stage than state-owned labor-intensive maturity or decline stage. Similarly, demonstrates more substantial influence situated southern cities, large-scale non-resource-dependent cities located northern small-scale resource-dependent cities. Mechanism analyses suggest primarily through pathways such technological innovation, expansion household consumption, advancement financial digitization. Additionally, intellectual property protection is found enhance By investigating drivers perspective not only provides theoretical foundation for China’s economy but also offers practical guidance insights fostering global scale.
