In this study, the surface of steel was coated with a Mg-Al-pAB-LDH coating in order to enhance its corrosion resistance marine environment. The crystal structure, micro-morphology, and chemical composition were characterised using physicochemical techniques. protection performance simulated environment evaluated through electrochemical methods. results indicate that effectively adsorbs chloride ions from environment, thereby increasing potential environments reducing current density. addition, applied not only enhances but also possesses self-healing capabilities areas local damage surface.
