This study investigated the capability of Clostridium beijerinckii TISTR 1461 to utilize mixed sugars (glucose and xylose) in synthetic media sweet sorghum bagasse (SSB) hydrolysate for butanol production. Synthetic containing 60 g/L glucose xylose at various ratios were used C. preferentially utilized over The highest concentration (PB, 10.25–10.60 g/L), yield (YB/S, 0.27–0.28 g/g), productivity (QB, 0.22 g/L·h), sugar consumption (SC, 61–63%) achieved when content was least 75% total sugars. When an SSB (produced via enzymatic hydrolysis) 60.83 (glucose:xylose ratio = 88:12, w/w) as a substrate production, supplemented with 1 yeast extract buffers significantly yielded higher PB (15.10 YB/S (0.31 QB SC (82%) values compared media. These results indicate that hydrolysates mixtures show promise cost-effective substrates sustainable fermentation, demonstrating potential agricultural residues biofuel
